AKRON, OH Our personalities provide some fresh perspective in a backyard. Your yard. We drank irresponsibly. Provided fresh perspective in a backyard. Our yard. So let’s get these stories straight before the call last call in this place because disappointments written all over the bartenders face. Been here so many times sometimes it feels like my name’s on the lease. Day drinking afternoons. Our youth is the secret we keep and we can stay up all night here with you. Yeah, we can stay up all night here with you drawing swords with the force. We own the mischief we seek. Let’s get our stories straight before they call the cops on this place because disappointments written all over the bartenders face. It’s like I’m a different person here. It’s like I change overnight. Annabelle’s is dead again anyway. Let’s move and soak in the sights. I’m a different person here. It’s like I change over night. Thirty-five. Going on fifteen. Two 40’s feeling alright because I’m a different person here. It’s like I change overnight. So set the course for hardwood floors. It’s what we can always afford. So let’s get our stories straight before they call last call in this place because our personalities provide some fresh perspective in a backyard. Your yard. We drank irresponsibly. Provided fresh perspective in a backyard. Our yard.

MIYAJIMA, JP Cleansing the timeline. Two hour train ride. You and the coastline made me feel less alone. It’s time to sail the unknown. So, we’ll see what this voyage brings. We can’t see anything. Surely our future is just hiding behind our ghosts. It’s so weird. Every business is closed. As we forget what we know let’s put a smile on the voice of the intercom. It’s bad news and feedback. It sounds like we at least should have checked. Sounds like we’ll at least get our steps with a stroll through the Main Street. Boarded up concrete. This shrine casts its shadow on what’s likely the saddest beach we’ve ever seen. So we forget what we know. Morale’s high. Tide is low. We get so lost we seem to forget what we’ve found. We get so lost we always forget what we’ve found. How many people can say they’ve seen what we saw today? I wouldn’t trade the face you made for anything. Cleansing the timeline. A two hour train ride. You and the coastline made me feel less alone. So we’ll see what this voyage brings. We can’t see anything. Surely our future is just hiding behind our ghosts. Surely our future is just hiding behind ghosts.

MOLDY RECORDS When you open the past door inside me, my freaky feeling spilt out from my flipped pocket. We are back to this place in silence. It's like riding a big wind. We just play the role of regeneration here. Someone said "the time we spent was wasted." That's not real. It's like a fiction and this place that smells of moldy dust. We were back to this space in fragmented era. The quiet city without footsteps. We're just spending the days of regeneration from here. Don't believe in someone's excuse and let me feel the light more than ever. Everything is on the back of this door and it's waiting for dawn. Breaking dawn. Everyone knows to march for themselves. Still white room, the record to be updated, blindly looking for our footprints.

GROWING APART If I could never change your style, I'll send the sign as many times as you like. What do you need in this design? Lost our relationships. Have you ever seen the smoldering fire? If I could never change the times, we lose something decisive. What do you look for in our background? And, even if you look back on your life, there was no choice. We just know we can understand each other. And anytime, we look down and pass each other. You're looking into the mirror. There's no clear reason. We know each other. We have different colors. I just look ahead and seek new colors. You just look at and figure out new styles.

about

In the year 2013 I was fortunate enough to take a trip to Japan with Their / They're / There. IIOI and Owen also played sets during the shows. It was an incredible experience. My favorite country in the world.

Our driver and merch seller on that tour was my now good friend Hajime. Hajime plays bass in The Firewood Project and Malegoat. Malegoat was the first band in Japan which really embraced me. They have always made sure IIOI is taken care of in Hachioji and elsewhere in the country. They have become close friends. While we both have a decent amount of language barrier we have shared nothing but excellent times with each other over the years and had always wanted to release a record together.

Last year the IIOI project Twelve Towns celebrated it's 10 year anniversary and in the spirit of that celebration I thought it would be fun to write two more towns, produce them on a split with a band we love and are friends with and release it as a run of 500 records. Just like the original series.

Consider this the lost 7th split from Twelve Towns.

Since producing 7" records is actually much harder -- and they also aren't very cost efficient or sound very good -- ALSO ALSO our side is more music than would fit on a 7" -- we decided to produce this record as an LP at 45 RPM.

It sounds awesome. It looks awesome. It's something we're incredibly proud of.

The IIOI songs on this release are two of the coolest IIOI songs in the catalog. The Malegoat songs are excellent representations of their evolving sound throughout the years and it also features Steve Lamos from American Football on trumpet.

500 physical copies were pressed. A good portion has been reserved for Stiff Slack in Japan (if you are from Japan order from there!). A majority of the pressing will be reserved for our October SCLTD Patreon subscribers (sign up in October to reserve one!) and a small portion will be available for purchase on the SCLTD WEBSTORE
